As a Registered Nurse in Tennessee, I see abuse of the system every day I work a 12 hour shift. While I wheel a Tenncare recipient to their $40,000 Cadillac Escalade, I often reflect on how they can afford such a luxury automobile while I drive a beat up four door sedan.

It would seem the middle class working man is forgotten and exists as a wage slave. Tennessee offers free healthcare, food stamps, free transportation to and from the Hospital and/or Doctor's office, free housing, and free cell phones as a part of Government Assistance.

The cycles of poverty are definitely alive and being well funded by the often unwilling taxpayers of Tennessee.

Please understand that I am not bitter or angry at the individual who is dependent on the proverbial government teat. I have observed that it is beneficial to the State and the Hospital to keep these people drugged and dependent on the Governmental Handout so that they can be financially reimbursed or write off the services provided.

So the common man (forgotten man) is taxed to death in order to fund the healthcare, prescriptions, etc. of the man who refuses to work and takes advantage of the system. Meanwhile, the Government and Hospital Corporations rake in fiscal profits off of the cyclical financial, spiritual, and intellectual poverties of some Tennesseans.

RONALD REAGAN VS. SOCIALIZED MEDICINE

"Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.

Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We had an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this."

Obamacare Healthcare Bill=DISASTER

So upon scanning through the healthcare bill today (H.R. 3962), I came across a few more sections that I find interesting. I was completely unaware that the No Child Left Unimmunized act had been swept into this bill.. but nonetheless, it is there.. under Section 2524. It is entitled "NO CHILD LEFT UNIMMUNIZED AGAINST INFLUENZA: DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM USING ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS AS INFLUENZA VACCINATION CENTERS." As the title hints, this amendment will establish vaccination centers directly in schools. Eventually this could lead to the seasonal flu vaccination becoming mandatory for school attendance.

In H.R. 3200, I found an interesting section entitled "NATIONAL MEDICAL DEVICE REGISTRY". Little to my surprise, I found that this same amendment may be found in 3962 under the same name, in Section 2571.
It reads as follows:

‘National Medical Device Registry

‘(g)(1)(A) The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each covered device.

‘(B) In this subsection, the term ‘covered device’--

‘(i) shall include each class III device; and

‘(ii) may include, as the Secretary determines appropriate and specifies in regulation, a class II device that is life-supporting or life-sustaining.



What is a class II medical device, you may ask? A google search won't come up with much.. but all you really need to know is this....


Is the implantable microchip FDA-approved?

In October 2004, VeriChip's human-implantable RFID microchip was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for medical uses in the United States (as a Class II Medical Device). In fact, the implantable microchip is considered a "predicate device" within the FDA, meaning others entering the space in the future will be measured against this device.

So, Verichip is classified as a Class II medical device. Why is this concerning? Let me continue with the section.



‘(2) In developing the registry, the Secretary shall, in consultation with the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Administrator of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the head of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, determine the best methods for--

‘(A) including in the registry, in a manner consistent with subsection (f), appropriate information to identify each covered device by type, model, and serial number or other unique identifier;

‘(B) In this paragraph, the term ‘data’ refers to information respecting a covered device, including claims data, patient survey data, standardized analytic files that allow for the pooling and analysis of data from disparate data environments, electronic health records, and any other data deemed appropriate by the Secretary.

‘(4) The Secretary shall promulgate regulations for establishment and operation of the registry under paragraph (1). Such regulations--

‘(A)(i) in the case of covered devices that are sold on or after the date of the enactment of this subsection, shall require manufacturers of such devices to submit information to the registry, including, for each such device, the type, model, and serial number or, if required under subsection (f), other unique device identifier;

(c) Unique Device Identification System- The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, shall issue proposed regulations to implement section 519(f) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 360i(f)) not later than 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.



So, it sounds to me this national medical device registry is an attempt to coax the American public into being chipped.. for medical purposes, of course. These chips will contain your medical history, and will also be portrayed as benefiting Alzheimer's patients and those with Diabetes.. and any other reasons they can come up with. This has already been confirmed, as you can see in this commercial- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDhDrFrs7as. In reality these RFID chips are nothing more than a means of control. That's all this bill is about, and that is certainly all this section is about.


Under "definitions" on page 1668 I found that the term "disease prevention" can mean a number of things. Including the fluoridation of water and immunizations..


On page 231 under Subtitle A.. Section 330 is entitled "ENROLLMENT IN PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE OPTION BY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS."
It reads as follows:

Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act,
Members of Congress may enroll in the public health insurance option.


MAY. I repeat they MAY. Just had to reinforce that topic.. since many claim that this section does not exist. If you don't believe me, look for yourself.


Section 59b (pgs 297-299) is entitled "ENFORCEMENT OF HEALTH COVERAGE PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS."
It reads as follows:

CIVIL PENALTIES.—In the case of any employer who fails (during any period with respect to which the election under subsection (a) is in effect)
to satisfy the health coverage participation requirements with respect to any employee, the Secretary may assess a civil penalty against the employer of
$100 for each day in the period beginning on the
date such failure first occurs and ending on the date
such failure is corrected.


And of course, ultimately jail time.. up to 5 years in jail, for if you do not comply you will be in violation of the federal IRS code.


So, in summary.. this bill is about control.

I don't have time to flesh this out and insert my observations as a Registered Nurse...But the first link will take you a list of dentists whom offer their services at a significant discount figured with a sliding scale according to your income...The second link takes you to Bridges to Care which is a nonprofit organization which directs uninsured Tennesseans to PCP's, medical care, and aid to other ailments/conditions such as Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.

I do not advocate socialized medicine. I am against Tenncare and I see the abuses of it every shift I work in the Emergency Room. Giving free healthcare, cell phones, food, does not empower people..it gives them a sense of 'entitlement' which cripples the American ideals of self reliance and the pioneer spirit which made our country great. It is a factor in the negative cycle of abuse. The Federal Government is not the answer. Obama is not our Savior. Local communities, private individuals. churches, and charities can help feed and clothe the poor, teach them a trade, and aid the sick.

The future of America depends on the basic ideals presented in the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. We must Decentralize the Federal Government, make responsible decisions for ourselves and our families, and abandon our current policies of being the World Police...

Dear Editor:

The word 'crisis' is a favorite term of the Obama administration. This is used in frequent conjunction with the words economic, healthcare, or financial. The proposals of Obamacare are controversial, confusing, and contrived at best. I would like to offer some real world and practical advice for anyone seeking the truth about Healthcare.

A lot of readers do not know that HCA Emergency Rooms in Nashville, TN offer a 70% uninsured discount upon discharge. That means that a fifteen hundred dollar ER bill would be reduced to four hundred and fifty dollars. There are a lot of misconceptions and urban legends concerning Emergency Room Medicine. Speaking from a RN's perspective, we do not care what kind of insurance you have. We treat you based on your complaint or your level of acuity. So we will grab a gun shot victim or a person complaining of chest pain faster than someone with a headache for 3 months. The Registration staff collects and processes your personal information. We do have access to review your insurance, but it does not dictate your quality of care or how quickly you receive your medicine. Emergency Rooms are overcrowded, but we do not turn anyone away. I have improvised and used hallways as rooms and used chairs as stretchers to ensure every patient can be seen by a Physician.

The Healthcare Industry needs an overhaul. It is too expensive and those who are insured have seen their premiums rise yearly. I would like to preface that by saying the Federal Government should not be the one to 'save' us from the Big Bad HMO's and the Insurance Companies. If I wrote out a 'History of Abuses' by the Federal Government concerning fiscal wisdom and abuse of taxpayer money it would fill volumes. The Federal Government has it's tentacles in too many pies. If America is going to continue as a Sovereign Republic fueled by free market capitalism ,then the Federal Government must be restrained and reduced.

Our Founding Fathers battled a similar enemy approximately two hundred and twenty odd years ago. It seems we find ourselves again facing those same challenges. Collectivism vs. Individualism. A Totalitarian State vs. a Limited Federal Government. Corrupt Politicians and Greedy Central Bankers vs. Liberty loving Americans who still believe in the Constitution and moral decency. The famous words of Patrick Henry are being rediscovered by frustrated Veterans, farmers, and laid off workers across America. 'Give me Liberty, or give me Death'.

Did you know that in HCA Hospitals in Emergency Rooms in Tennessee you are offered a 70% discount on your bill if you are uninsured? That is a hefty discount. If your ER bill was $1500, after the discount you would owe $450. Why isn't Obama reporting that to the American People?

I am a RN. Please be assured there is no Healthcare Crisis. No one is turned away from an Emergency Room. We treat everyone the same. We do not care what kind of insurance you have. Registration Personnel collect and verify that information. We do not process it, nor care what policy you have. As an RN, I am there to treat the sickest patient based on acuity and then progressively get to the runny noses and sore throats after the heart attack and gunshot victims are cared for.

I agree that the Healthcare System needs some revamping. Yes, it is too expensive. BUT we do not NEED or do we WANT the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to intervene and take control of another business/industry.

The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is never the answer. Think of all the recent financial disasters they have created. BAILOUTS, STIMULUS PACKAGES, ENDLESS WARS. They continue to pillage and plunder the hard working tax payer and reward those whom are comforted by FED. GOVT. HANDOUTS. Cash for Clunkers is a perfect example of FED. GOVT INTERVENTION GONE WRONG AND OF REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

This is our country. America, awaken your families and neighbors...We will take back our freedoms, lands, and regain our sensibilities.

"And we've got legal residents or citizens who are eligible for the plan. And I want a comprehensive immigration plan that creates a pathway to achieve that."

However, he explained that he believes illegal alien children should be an exception to the policy."

So Obama is going to waive his magic wand of Executive Order or get the Mass Media Propaganda Machines rolling and change Illegal Immigrants into American Citizens..

SB 2239/ HB 2289 ...First step towards Obamacare

It's time to contact your Representative again...I am starting to believe there really are some sort of clandestine group or association which intend to crash our American Dollar and destroy the Constitution through legislation and bill passing... I'm talking about SB 2239 which is basically groundwork for the State/Fed. Govt. to get involved in your health care and to seize more of your private information....

SB 2239 basically allows the TN govt. to track every time to you use a health care provider and receive a report about your visit...This is being done under the guise of electronic records and keeping health care costs down by having a system of documented standard costs, etc, etc...I say this is just another grab for your private information and to allow State and Federal Govt. to grow more gargantuan and feed off your hard earned money... This is a blatant violation of the 4th amendment and hopefully it will not pass...Holler at your representative, tell them your health care information is between you, God, and your doctor!
