Will the United Nations regulate and control the Internet?

http://www.infowars.com/secret-copyright-treaty-leaks-its-bad-very-bad/

http://www.michaelgeist.ca/content/view/4510/125/

"* That ISPs have to proactively police copyright on user-contributed material. This means that it will be impossible to run a service like Flickr or YouTube or Blogger, since hiring enough lawyers to ensure that the mountain of material uploaded every second isn’t infringing will exceed any hope of profitability.

* That ISPs have to cut off the Internet access of accused copyright infringers or face liability. This means that your entire family could be denied to the internet — and hence to civic participation, health information, education, communications, and their means of earning a living — if one member is accused of copyright infringement, without access to a trial or counsel.

* That the whole world must adopt US-style “notice-and-takedown” rules that require ISPs to remove any material that is accused — again, without evidence or trial — of infringing copyright. This has proved a disaster in the US and other countries, where it provides an easy means of censoring material, just by accusing it of infringing copyright."

Obama and Jay Rockefeller attempting to CENSOR AND REBOOT THE INTERNET

I think that Obama and his handlers are doing a bang up job of destroying what's left of America. Our financial infrastructure is collapsing, we continue Endless Wars, we are poisoning our citizens with unnecessary Swine Flu Vaccines, public tax pay dollars are handed over to private businesses, language for public funded abortion is in the new scam entitled HR 3962, and now Savior Obama wants to limit how you get your news and express yourself VIA THE INTERNET...

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/11/03/Senate-Bill-Would-Give-President-Obama-Authority-to-Pull-the-Plug-on-Your-Internet.aspx

Senate bill 773 (The Cybersecurity Act of 2009) is causing a flurry of opposition from groups like Campaign for Liberty, which has sent out letters to their members appealing for them to take action against passage of this bill, stating:

“If the ‘Internet Takeover Bill’ passes, Barack Obama can silence his dissenters directly -- by ordering a shutdown of all Americans’ access to the Internet. But that’s not all. Even outside of periods of White House-declared ‘emergency,’ this bill mandates that private-sector networks only be managed by government-licensed cybersecurity professionals.”

Senate Bill 773
“A bill to ensure the continued free flow of commerce within the United States and with its global trading partners through secure cyber communications, to provide for the continued development and exploitation of the Internet and intranet communications for such purposes, to provide for the development of a cadre of information technology specialists to improve and maintain effective cybersecurity defenses against disruption, and for other purposes.”

Use 'Scroogle' instead of 'Google'

http://www.scroogle.org/

"Scroogle is a web service that disguises the Internet address of users who want to run Google searches anonymously.[4] Scroogle also gives users the option of having all communication between their computer and the search page be SSL encrypted.[5]

The tool was created by Google critic Daniel Brandt,[2][3] who was concerned about Google collecting information on users, and set up Scroogle to filter searches through his servers before going to Google."

Computer Nerds Unite!

http://www.infowars.com/its-time-to-bring-back-the-bbs-network/

Alex Jones had a lot of good posts today..check this link out...

"Since everyone from Obama, to Rupert Murdock, to various federal agencies are talking about being able to close down the Internet or turn it into something that would prevent the free flow of information, bringing back the BBS is something some of us in the patriot movement should be working on as a back up system for disseminating information and providing support in the cause of liberty. America losing rights to a Free and Unregulated Internet

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2009/sep/30/icann-agreement-us

"After complaints about American dominance of the Internet and growing disquiet in some parts of the world, Washington has said it will relinquish some control over the way the network is run and allow foreign governments more of a say in the future of the system.

Icann – the official body that ultimately controls the development of the Internet thanks to its oversight of web addresses such as .com, .net and .org – said today that it was ending its agreement with the US government."

China owns everything else 'American'...so why not sell them our rights to the Internet? The Internet really is the last forum for truth. There are alternative media sites where objective news can be found..But if we adapt Internet Policies like China then we can kiss the Information Superhighway goodbye...

Anytime you hear a Politician talk about how we have a global crisis or that we are globally connected..then you can go ahead and bet he is on the Council of Foreign Relations, United Nations, Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderberg Group. Those groups openly declare their intention to destroy American Sovereignty and reduce our Constitutional Rights.

If you disagree with me, please read any of my posts concerning the Council on Foreign Relations or watch Obama Deception or Endgame and see how these formerly secretive groups put money in the pocket of our politicians.

Government Controlled Internet

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-10320096-38.html

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

"They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency. "

Hmm.. That name Rockefeller rings a bell...

Well, how does China handle their Internet Problem?

"Censored content

See also: List of notable websites blocked in the People's Republic of China

Research into mainland Chinese Internet censorship has shown that censored websites included, before the 2008 Summer Olympics:

From the above list, the websites of the Voice of America, BBC News, Yahoo! Hong Kong, and the Chinese Wikipedia are currently (17 August 2008) unblocked.

Blocked websites are indexed to a lesser degree, if at all, by some Chinese search engines, such as Baidu and Google China. This sometimes has considerable impact on search results.[17] According to a Harvard study, at least 18,000 websites are blocked from within mainland China.[18] According to The New York Times, Google has set up computer systems inside China that try to access Web sites outside the country. If a site is inaccessible, then it is added to Google China's blacklist.[19] However, once (if) unblocked, the websites will be reindexed."

"Crackdown on Internet activists

In 2001, Wang Xiaoning and other Chinese activists were arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison for using a Yahoo email account to post anonymous writing to an Internet mailing list, which Yahoo, after pressure from the Chinese government eventually blocked. However, with the help of the World Organization for Human Rights, Wang and Shi Tao, another online activist sued Yahoo, accusing the Internet provider of abetting the torture of pro-democracy writers by providing information that allowed the Chinese government to identify them. [50]

On 23 July 2008, the family of Liu Shaokun was notified that he had been sentenced to one year re-education through labor for “inciting a disturbance”. A teacher in Sichuan province, he had taken photographs of collapsed schools and posted these photos online. [51]

On 18 July 2008, Huang Qi was formally arrested on suspicion of illegally possessing state secrets. Huang had spoken with the foreign press and posted information on his website about the plight of parents who had lost children in collapsed schools.[52]"

Could this happen to America one day soon? I hope not...I feel like there is a Great Awakening right now in America. A return to family, to common sense, to God in whatever form you recognize Him, a return to reason and logic, a return to the hunger for truth...A return to Liberty and the basic reasons and ideals we Americans broke away from British Tyranical Rule and set out on a journey for freedom, liberty, and self rule.

This could happen if we continue in the Post-American ways of George Bush and Obama..
